Brewing Guides
We strongly recommend the Pour-Over or French press Method.

POUR-OVER
This method allows you to control the brewing process and highlight the unique flavors of Luwak coffee.
1) Equipment:
Place the paper filter in the pour-over cone and set it on top of your coffee cup. Pour hot water to preheat and discard the rinse water.
2) Weigh and Grind:Weigh and grind coffee beans to a medium-coarse consistency. [usually 1 to 2 tablespoons (10g) of coffee per 6 ounces of water].
3) Bloom:
Place the ground coffee into the filter and wet them by pouring just enough hot water (about twice the weight of the coffee grounds). Let them bloom for 30 seconds
4) Pour and Brew:
Pour water slowly in a spiral motion until desired coffee-to-water ratio (usually 1:16) is reached, total brew time should be about 3-4 minutes.
Remove the pour-over cone and enjoy! -
FRENCH PRESS
This method is allows for a more full-bodied and rich brew.
1) Weigh and Grind:
Weigh and grind coffee beans to a coarse consistency. [usually 1 to 2 tablespoons (10g) of coffee per 6 ounces of water].
2) Add Coffee and Water:
Add coffee grounds and hot water (1:15 ratio) to French press.
3) Stir, Brew and Plunge:Stir, place the lid on the French press with the plunger pulled all the way up, steep for 4 minutes, then plunge by pressing down the plunger slowly
Savor the robust and earthy flavors of your freshly brewed Luwak coffee. Enjoy! -
ESPRESSO
This method creates a concentrated and bold Luwak coffee.
Weigh and Grind:
Weigh and grind coffee beans to a fine consistency. (depends for a single or double shot)
Prepare Espresso Machine:
Preheat espresso machine and set temperature.(usually around 195°F or 90°C)
Dose and Tamp:Dose coffee, tamp and compress evenly, and insert portafilter into portafilter basket.
Espresso Extraction:Extract espresso shot for 25-30 seconds. (for a double shot.)
Pour into espresso cup and savor the bold flavors. Enjoy! -
AEROPRESS
This method produces a clean and flavorful cup of Luwak coffee.
Weigh and Grind:
Weigh and grind coffee beans to a medium consistency.[usually 1 to 2 tablespoons (10g) of coffee per 6 ounces of water].
Prepare the AeroPress:Attach and set paper filter to AeroPress cap.
Add Coffee and Water, Stir and Steep:Add ground coffee, pour hot water (1:15 ratio), and stir for a few seconds. Attach the plunger without pressing and steep for 1-2 minutes. After steeping, slowly press down the plunger for about 20-30 seconds.
Sip and savor the clean and flavorful characteristics of your Luwak coffee. Enjoy! -
VACUUM / SIPHON
This method produces a clean and flavorful cup of coffee with a unique and full-bodied taste profile.
Weigh and Grind:
Weigh and grind coffee beans to a medium consistency. [usually 1 to 2 tablespoons (10g) of coffee per 6 ounces of water].
Siphon assembly:Assemble the siphon coffee maker, ensuring a tight seal.
Add Coffee and Water:Place coffee grounds in the upper chamber and cold water in the lower chamber (typically a 1:15 coffee-to-water ratio).
Heat and Brew:Apply heat to the lower chamber until it forces water into the upper chamber.
Stir and Steep:Stir the coffee-water mixture, then let it steep for about 1-2 minutes off heat.
Remove Heat:Remove the heat source, and allow the coffee to flow back into the lower chamber through the filter.
Pour the freshly brewed coffee into your cup. Enjoy! -
DRIP COFFEE MACHINE
This method is a straightforward and convenient way to make Luwak coffee.
Prepare machine, measure and add coffee grounds and water:
Place a clean coffee filter in the filter basket and fill the water reservoir with cold water. Measure and add amount of coffee ground amounts depending on your your desired strength. [Usually 1 to 2 tablespoons (10g) of coffee grounds per 6 ounces of water].
Start Brewing:
Power on the coffee machine and select your desired brewing settings [optimal brewing temperature is typically around 195°F to 205°F (90°C to 96°C)].
Pour the brewed coffee into your cup and enjoy!
